Seattle Mariners second baseman Cole Young turned on a pitch and drove it deep to right field. But just a night earlier, that was where fly balls against the Angels went to die, because that's where Jo Adell was. Adell robbed not one, not two, but three home runs on Saturday night.
It was a 1-0 Angels win over the Mariners, and so those three robberies were both absurd but also absolutely necessary. This one looked like it might just be another chance for Adell to show off his thievery prowess at the outfield wall. Instead, though, Seattle could breathe easy.
Young had hit this one further. It ended up being no chance for Adell, and a three-run homer for Young. The Mariners' social media account had the right feelings about it: notagainnotagainnotagainnotagain okay phew pic.
