Roma suffer 11th Serie A defeat, worst record since 2011/12 Gian Piero Gasperini’s Roma fell miserably at San Siro to Inter’s blows. The final score was 5-2, but in the first half the Giallorossi seemed capable of holding their own against the hosts. After the break, however, there was only one team on the pitch.

The Roman side failed to turn things around with substitutions and suffered yet another defeat in Serie A this season. In 31 matchdays, they have lost 11 times, a first in the three-point era since 2011/2012. In 2011/2012, Roma’s Luis Enrique was in charge, but his ideas failed to make an impact in the capital.

The Spaniard’s team had suffered 12 defeats in the same number of games, finishing with 14. The only one who stands out is once again Donyell Malen. Since the Dutchman’s arrival, the Giallorossi have never regained the defensive solidity that had characterized the team without a finisher, and today the gaps in defence have become more evident than ever.

Gasp will have a lot to work on to finish this season as best as possible, hoping not to further worsen the defeat record.
