Both sets of players wore black armbands to honor the loss of life and impact to survivors, both those who bore witness to the tragedy and those who lost loved ones. A moment of silence was impeccably observed before kick-off, with the FA Cup quarter-final being the closest women’s match to the April 15th anniversary. The men’s team’s observance will come at the home second leg against PSG, which takes place on the 37th anniversary date.
