LSU coach Jay Johnson was thrown out of the game against Tennessee baseball for yelling at the umpire after a strikeout.

LSU coach Jay Johnson was ejected from the game against Tennessee baseball on April 5 at Lindsey Nelson Stadium. Johnson was upset with umpire Eric Goshay after a strikeout at the top of the ninth inning. Johnson verbally berated Goshay, who quickly tossed him from the contest.

Johnson continued arguing, then went back to the dugout. The Tigers recovered from the strikeout call with a base hit to tie the game, 5-5. Vols reliever Brandon Arvidson worked through loaded bases with another strikeout.
