PWHL NEW YORK — A record-setting crowd of 18,006 at Madison Square Garden greeted the New York Sirens and Seattle Torrent with a thunderous ovation before Saturday’s 8 p. m. puck drop.
Three hours later, an even louder roar shook the 58-year-old venue as the Sirens completed a 2-1 comeback victory in a shootout. “It’s so special. I feel like as a team we deserve this,” Sirens star Sarah Fillier told Abby Labar on the ice postgame .
