The Los Angeles Rams made a massive move this offseason, landing Trent McDuffie in a blockbuster trade with the Kansas City Chiefs .

Les Snead sent a first-round pick and more to the Chiefs for McDuffie, and shortly thereafter signed him to a massive $124 million four-year contract extension. As The Athletic's Mike Sando shared, one NFL executive shared a thought on this deal that many fans have felt as well. This exec doesn't mind the McDuffie trade for one clear reason.

In a win-now mode, trading for a player who's one of the best at their position, even at the cost it took them to pick McDuffie up, is more than worth it.
