Mike Norvell speaks on current QB competition at Florida State
FSU held its second scrimmage of the spring. Mike Norvell took to the podium to talk about the quarterback play, and the current competition.
The Florida State Seminoles held its second scrimmage of the spring on Saturday as a plethora of high school prospects were in attendance. Of course, one of the key position battles is at quarterback between Ashton Daniels and Kevin Sperry. Head coach Mike Norvell would take to the podium to discuss the performance of each player during the scrimmage.
The results were a bit mixed, but there were some positive signs to be encouraged by. "I think there was good and bad," Norvell said. "I got to go back and watch.
I think each quarterback had a couple of decisions that they have to learn from. They've got to be better from. "There were some good plays, some explosive plays that did show up later, guys pushed the ball down the field.
There were also some situations where it didn't really matter who was playing quarterback, we’ve got to be better in surrounding the quarterback to help put them in a better situation. " Norvell would dive into the overall performance of each quarterback during the spring. "I think when you look at the course of these first nine days leading into the day, I think we do have a very competitive room," Norvell said.
