Twice. The first came on a drive where he accidentally stepped on an opponent’s foot while pursuing a layup and could not regain his balance to properly land. The second was the product of the first, the frustration fueling the slap of his hand against the hardwood at the center of Lucas Oil Stadium.

He was taken to the locker room with more than four minutes still to play in the first half of the NCAA Tournament semifinal against fellow No. 1 seed Arizona. During halftime, there was plenty conversation among those covering the Final Four regarding not whether we’d see Lendeborg again Saturday, but whether he might appear in Monday night’s title game against UConn.

And then he struck twice from 3-point range in the first five minutes of the second half of Saturday night’s 91-73 destruction of the Wildcats. Really. He was out there from the start, wearing a knee brace that hadn't been there previously.
