Michigan gets commitment from five-star point guard Brandon McCoy Jr.

At halftime of its Final Four game Saturday night, Michigan men's basketball received a major recruiting commitment. Five-star point guard Brandon McCoy Jr. from Sierra Canyon High School in California announced his commitment to Michigan during halftime of the "Fab Five" altcast broadcast.

McCoy, 6-foot-5, is rated the No. 14 overall prospect in the nation and No. 3 at his position, according to the 247Sports composite rankings.

"I'm blessed and grateful to announce I'll be attending the University of Michigan," McCoy said on the "Fab Five" broadcast, unzipping his jacket and revealing a blue Michigan Jumpman T-shirt. He then put on a pair of Buffs sunglasses. "Go Blue!
