The Gamecocks are gunning for their third national title in five years, and the Bruins are aiming to finish atop the sport for the first time in program history.

South Carolina put a stop to a 54-game UConn winning streak that dated back to last season, and now Dawn Staley’s Gamecocks are playing in their third straight national title game. UCLA, on the other hand, has never been here before. After shutting down Texas , the Bruins have finally reached the sport’s biggest stage in the 15th season of Cori Close’s head-coaching tenure.
