Deontay Wilder gets split decision over Derek Chisora for 45th win

"The Bronze Bomber" picked up the 45th win of his boxing career

Deontay Wilder and Derek Chisora went the distance and the judges ruled in favor of the Bronze Bomber . Wilder (45-4-1, 43 KOs) landed some big punches but Chisora (36-14, 23 KOs) was able to withstand the attacks and get back up. The judges ruled in favor of Wilder with a split decision.

Wilder looked like he was on the ropes at times, especially in the middle rounds before the two fighters settled down over the final few rounds. Wilder landed a flurry of headshots in the eighth round, knocking down Chisora on the ropes a couple times in the round. He knocked him down again in the 11th round but the knockout eluded him.

The right hook landed as well as it has in recent memory but Chisora was able to respond to all of Wilder's attacks. Wilder took some big punches from Chisora, getting knocked down a couple of times but neither landed the knock out. Wilder weighed in at 226.

4 pounds according to DAZN ahead of the fight. Its about the same weight he fought Tyrell Herndon at during their June 2025 fight. It's a lot less than he fought Tyson Fury at but more than the normal 214 pounds he fought recently at.
