Boston could use a boost.

The Boston Red Sox have had far from an ideal season, as they just simply haven't been able to do enough on either side of the baseball.
Currently sitting at 1-5 heading into Friday, the Red Sox need to be better. There will be many options for Boston to pursue ahead of and around the trade deadline, and if one thing is for certain right now, this team needs to get better on the offensive side of the baseball. FanSided’s Austin Owens predicted the Red Sox would do that at the trade deadline, making early predictions and projecting them to trade for CJ Abrams.
“Look for the slumping Boston Red Sox to make a move for Abrams and improve their lineup to try and fight their way out of the AL East. "They still have veteran Trevor Story as their current captain of the infield, but fans all around Boston would sleep much better at night knowing they had more consistency given Story's sketchy recent track record. If Story was not shipped to the Nationals in this hypothetical trade, there may still be room for him in the lineup as the DH or even other positions assuming he is healthy.
” The Red Sox don’t necessarily lack guys who have been there and done that, including some elite talent, but they just haven't been able to put it together. I'm not exactly sure that Abrams would be the guy who helps put this team together, but it's never a bad idea to add a young shortstop who has been an All-Star and has proven he can play at a high level in this league. My problem with the Red Sox right now is that this is somewhat similar to what we've seen from them over the past two seasons.
