Oregon Ducks star Kiara Romero made school history with the highest finish at the Augusta National Women's Amateur on Saturday.
Kiara Romero continues to be a superstar for the Oregon Ducks. On Saturday, the junior carded a 4-under 68 in the final round of the Augusta National Women's Amateur to give her a tie for 4th in the tournament, the highest finish by anyone in Oregon Ducks history. Romero entered the final round in a tie for 14th after shooting 2 under in each of the first two rounds.
Her 68 on Saturday gave her a score of -8 (208) for the tournament, which was six off the winner, Maria Jose Marin, who shot a 4-under 68 on Saturday as well. Hsin-Yu (Cynthia) Lu is the only other Duck to finish in the top five of the tournament, placing fifth in 2023.
