Ashtabula High School’s Sean Allgood had more than his fair share of moments in both football and basketball in his years at Ashtabula High School. All of the Allgoods found plenty of competition, competition that helped hone their skills, in their neighborhood. “There was a lot of competition growing up around Bardmoor Estates and the West Side court,” Allgood said.

“I started playing organized basketball in the seventh grade. Coach [Domenick] Cavalancia was my first coach. He taught me the basics of basketball and tailored it to match my skill level.

“Coach Roby Potts was my eighth-grade coach. He taught more of the fundamentals at an advanced level and the importance of winning. ” Throughout his career, Allgood played the point guard position.
