Suryakumar led the side in the absence of regular captain Hardik Pandya, who missed the match due to illness. MI posted 162/6 after being asked to bat first, with Suryakumar top-scoring with 51. Naman Dhir contributed a brisk 28 off 21 balls before being dismissed by T Natarajan.
