The FSU Seminoles trailed Notre Dame 4-0, but scored eight straight runs to win the game and sweep the series.

The No. 8 Florida State Seminoles softball team completed their sweep of the Notre Dame Fighting Irish on Saturday with a 8-4 win at JoAnne Graf Field in Tallahassee, Florida. They have now won 24 games, improving to 35-4 overall and 12-0 in ACC play.

FSU had to fight back to earn the win. Notre Dame took a 4-0 lead in the second inning with a three-run homer off of FSU starter Bella Dimitrijevic. A one-out double in the third inning ended her day as Jazzy Francik took over.

Dimitrijevic allowed all four runs on five hits and a walk in 2 1/3 innings. Florida State got on the board in the third inning when Isa Torres worked a leadoff walk and got to third on a throwing error on what should have been a groundout by Marin Heller. Ashtyn Danley singled Torres home with a single before Anna Hinde drove in two runs with a single, making it a 4-3 game.

A flyout and a caught stealing ended the threat. Torres once again sparked a rally in the fourth, working a two-out walk and scoring on a triple by Jaysoni Beachum. It was her first triple of the season and second of her career.
