He's on an all-time record list that has three names: Karaban, Bill Russell and Lew Alcindor (Kareem Abdul-Jabbar). The tidbit from OptaStats is this: Those three players are the only guys in NCAA Tournament history to have at least 200 points scored in March Madness while also having a team winning percentage of 94% or higher. Russell did his dominating for the University of San Francisco.

Back then, players had to play on the freshman team in their first year on campus.
When Alcindor was on the frosh team, they beat UCLA's varsity team in an exhibition game. And that Bruins team won the national title, too. So if it's safe to figure if Alcindor had played four years of varsity ball, he would've won four champions.
