A thrilling comeback led to the Bavarians pulling victory from the jaws of defeat in the form of a 99th minute winner to end the game 3-2.
Naturally, the thrilling nature of this comeback silenced many critics but some still had issue with the performance as a whole. Not Vincent Kompany, however. Bayern’s head coach explained after the match, as captured by @iMiaSanMia , why he was satisfied with the overall performance.
“I thought we got off to a good start. In the first part of the first half, we found good spaces but the last touch wasn’t there. But we also have to give credit to the opponent, they gave everything in front of their fans.
That’s why it was tough for us. That’s part of football. You can’t win every game 3-0 or 4-0 with Champagne football.
