Rich Beem makes Ludvig Aberg statement during third round of the Valero Texas Open, ‘it’s a joke’

Aberg is a joy to watch when he’s in full flow, and it is a real surprise that he hasn’t won a lot more tournaments. The 26-year-old was in pole position to win The Players Championship three weeks ago but he collapsed on the back nine at TPC Sawgrass, and ended up in a tie for fifth.

Aberg has been back to his best at the Valero Texas Open this week, and began the third round four shots adrift of his Ryder Cup teammate, Robert MacIntyre , after shooting consecutive rounds of 67. The man from Eslov, Sweden, looks as if he was built in a laboratory to play golf at the very highest level. However, after Ludvig Aberg’s failure to win The Players Championship , some serious questions have been asked of his ability to actually get the job done in big tournaments.
