SC Freiburg’s Maximilian Eggestein continues incredible run of futility vs. Bayern Munich during shocking loss

After SC Freiburg’s stunning, last minute 3-2 loss to the Bavarians, though, Eggestein’s insane streak of winless games in the Bundesliga vs. Bayern Munich has reached 20 per stats compiled by @iMiaSanMia prior to the contest: Freiburg’s Maximilian Eggestein is winless in 19 Bundesliga games against Bayern (2D, 17L). No other active Bundesliga player has played more games against a team without ever winning.

#SCFFCB Eggestein has had a very respectable career and has been a solid player in the Bundesliga for years now. However, he just could not seem to get over the hump of Bayern Munich. The 29-year-old midfielder had the assist on Johan Manzambi’s wonder goal in the second half to put his stamp on the game.
