With a win, the Hurricanes can wrap up the Metropolitan Division title.

The Islanders are currently in third place in the division and they are fighting for their playoff lives. So far they have wilted under this pressure as they have lost three games in a row and have allowed 16 goals during that time frame. They are 4-6-0 in their last 10 games.

The Canes are coming off a couple of excellent games over Columbus. They are 7-3-0 in their last 10. There were no changes in the Carolina lineup at the skate this morning, courtesy of Ryan Henkel.

Brandon Bussi was the first goalie off. “The Bus” has now won three games in a row. The netminder is 28-6-1 for the season.

That makes eight straight for Carolina and for head coach Rod Brind’Amour. The Islanders lost to the Flyers last night with Sorokin in net.
