Former Georgia football QB to speak at UGA's graduation

The University of Georgia has announced the speakers at the undergraduate and graduate ceremonies with a former Georgia QB speaking

Former Georgia Bulldogs quarterback and SEC champion D. J. Shockley will speak at the University of Georgia's commencement address for undergraduates on May 8 at 7:30 p.

m. ET. Georgia's graduation will be held in Sanford Stadium.

Shockley played with the Atlanta Falcons in the NFL and is in the midst of a promising broadcasting career. He serves as a sideline reporter for Georgia's radio network and is a sports director for FOX 5 in Atlanta. Shockley will be able t to teach UGA graduates a thing or two about patience and perseverance.

During Shockley's career at Georgia from 2002-2005 he spent the first three seasons behind David Greene, who ended his career as the winningest quarterback in college football history. Shockley prepared for his moment and took over as the starter in 2005. He led the Bulldogs to a 34-14 win over the LSU Tigers in the 2005 SEC championship in the defining moment of his college football career.
