They are coming off a loss, but since the New Year, they have been a team able to bounce back in the next game.
There were two games last night, including a Flyers win, which keeps their playoff push alive. The playoff push gets tighter with the Flyers involved, and they are now tied in a four-way tie with 88 points, only one behind the NY Islanders for the third spot in the Metropolitan. In other league news, the Maple Leafs’ asking price for forward Matthew Knies was high, like many at the trade deadline.
Two Original Six teams were checking in on the 23-year-old forward, but no deal was struck. Elsewhere, the Red Wings have four guys scoring half their goals, and Jack Hughes’s golden goal tour has not ended. The NHL schedule is filled with 15 games today, starting at 12:30 PM with the last puck drop set for 10:00 PM.
