Juan Soto injured his calf Friday against the Giants. Here's the latest.

The New York Mets' uneven start to the season has hit another skid. Four-time All-Star Juan Soto injured his calf while running the bases Friday against the San Francisco Giants. Soto, who hit a single off Tyler Mahle, exited the game and did not return.

Tyrone Taylor took Soto's place in the outfield and proceeded to go hitless in four at-bats. Mets manager Carlos Mendoza confirmed postgame Soto has right calf tightness and will get an MRI Saturday morning. โ€œYou never want to lose a guy like that,โ€ Mets second baseman Marcus Semien said of Soto, per MLB.
