Apr. 4—Coming into the season, Jordan Davis was in an interesting spot. Davis, who was starting his junior season, had been a starter for Decatur Heritage Christian Academy since he was a seventh grader, but despite his being a star player for four seasons, the Eagles needed more from him.
They were losing multiple starters from a Final Four team, including Decatur Daily 2025 Player of the Year Brady Wilson. Their young veteran proved up to the task. He averaged 25 points, seven rebounds and five assists with 89 steals on the year.
His big year earned him the 2026 Decatur Daily Class 1A-4A Boys Player of the Year. "We were losing a lot of seniors, and so I felt like it was an opportunity for me to step up and get to lead the team," Davis said. "I worked hard all offseason and summer, and I knew I was going to have a better season than I had last year.
