At least they think they are after an “enchanted” Elite Eight victory over Duke. I’ve been on the right side of those buzzer beaters and improbable comebacks, and while you escaped by the skin of your teeth, there’s a sense that nothing can stop you (especially at this time of the year). Oddsmakers aren’t as sure when it comes to Connecticut’s semifinal showdown with the Illinois Fighting Illini.
They’ve set the Huskies as short underdogs in what will be a very orange Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis. Our Illinois vs. UConn predictions buy into this being an extremely tight game, but my March Madness picks won’t discount Connecticut getting the points in the Final Four.
