He was set to face Michael Chandler in June 2024, but a broken toe picked up during sparring forced him out of that bout.
Now, he is back competing as he faced Barry Nolan on the Crumling Boxing Club’s famous Good Friday Show this afternoon in Dublin. His return date is slated as July 11 when he will headline International Fight Week at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas against an as-yet undecided opponent. These days, he uses the same gym to sharpen his skills. This time, he went up against local amateur Barry Nolan on the same card as Dave Fogarty, who’s also known from Misfits Boxing. The footage didn’t take long to hit social media.
McGregor hasn’t been in a proper fight in five years and usually only releases short, edited clips from training sessions.
