Arsenal captain swaps Nike for Adidas
Arsenal captain swaps Nike for Adidas Martin Odegaard has formally swapped Nike for Adidas, ending a boot partnership that had been in place since his move to Real Madrid in 2015. View this post on Instagram View Instagram Post The Arsenal captain had been associated with Nike’s Mercurial line for years, wearing the brand through spells with Stromsgodset , Real Madrid and Arsenal. He was still officially a Nike player through the end of 2025, but there were already signs that was changing.
From early January 2026, Odegaard started training in prototype Adidas Predator 26 boots while continuing to wear older Nike Mercurials in matches. That made it fairly obvious his Nike deal was coming to an end and that a move was being lined up. By late March and early April, the switch was out in the open.
Adidas unveiled customised Predator 26 boots for Odegaard , while Norwegian outlet ABC Nyheter reported that he had “swapped boot brand” after many years with Nike. On 1 April, Adidas’ official channels and several UK outlets confirmed he had signed a new multi-year endorsement deal and would become a Predator ambassador.
