Daviess County hits well in softball win over Muhlenberg

Newman, Hancock and Callie Smith bat 3-4-5 in DC’s lineup, and they combined to go 8-for-12 at the plate with Newman collecting five RBIs, Smith getting four RBIs and Hancock picking up two RBIs. Newman and Hancock were each 3-for-4 while Smith was 2-for-4. Storey Hume earned the pitching win, giving up two hits and striking out two.
Daviess County is No. 2 in Kentucky in MaxPreps and will have a 10-0-1 record heading into spring break. DC won’t play again until Friday, April 10.
