Liam Rosenior admitted he was disappointed with Cucurella, but the Spaniard has avoided any sanction and will be available for Saturday’s game against Port Vale. Marc Cucurella fully committed to Chelsea project Cucurella signed improved terms last year, but will have two years remaining on his current deal come the end of the season. This is the point under this ownership where either a new contract is offered, or the club look to sell, with a big decision needing to be made this summer.

Cucurella has reportedly emerged as a top target for Atletico Madrid, whilst there have also been links with a return to Barcelona. However, despite his criticism of the project Romano has revealed Cucurella isn’t looking to leave and is 100% committed. “Cucurella is not speaking to leave Chelsea, and he’s not speaking to send bad messages at all,” he told his YouTube channel.

“He’s speaking because he’s 100% committed. He signed on improved terms, a fresh deal at Chelsea few months ago. “That’s also what Reece James did, for example, signing a new contract at Chelsea, because these players believe in the Chelsea project, and these players have always been given assurances about what’s going to happen next at Chelsea, in terms of plans, in terms of ambitions, in terms of transfer windows.
