Titans add high-upside defender in Nick Shook's mock draft 1.0
NFL.com contributor Nick Shook’s mock draft has the Titans adding a national champion, giving Tennessee a proven winner with a high-level pedigree.
We have officially entered NFL Draft month, with less than three weeks until the opening round begins, with the Las Vegas Raiders on the clock. While nearly all mock drafts point to them taking Indiana QB Fernando Mendoza with the first overall pick, the players are not as consistent beginning with the number two overall pick. With the fourth overall pick, the Tennessee Titans have been mocked to select various players predicted to be drafted in their range.
In NFL. com contributor Nick Shook's first mock draft , he predicted the Titans to take an edge rusher for head coach Robert Saleh's scheme, after missing out on the popular Notre Dame RB Jeremiyah Love to the Arizona Cardinals at number three. Pick 4 - Titans select Ohio State Edge/LB, Arvell Reese I'm in the minority camp that believes Reese shouldn't be boxed into a pure edge-rushing role in the NFL, because of how dynamic he was as a hybrid linebacker at Ohio State.
That said, the prospect of Reese rushing on a front that includes Jeffery Simmons and Jermaine Johnson II is enticing. Tennessee could still find ways to use Reese off the line of scrimmage, too, and reap the rewards for a defense that has already welcomed four new projected starters in 2026. Reese has had questions about how he will transition to an edge rusher role after playing off-ball linebacker for most of his collegiate career.
His potential appears endless, especially after an impressive showing at Ohio State's pro day . Any edge rusher prospect would have a seamless transition on a defensive line that includes Jeffrey Simmons, John Franklin-Myers, and Jermaine Johnson II. Robert Saleh's defensive pedigree strongly suggests the Titans will heavily consider an edge rusher with their top pick, and Reese would certainly be a possibility if he remains on the board when their pick is on the clock.
