Boys soccer playoffs: Wakeland, Walnut Grove, Lake Dallas all punch tickets to state title games

Frisco Wakeland was pushed to the brink by El Paso Burges, but survived thanks to a 4-2 advantage in penalty kicks.

Wakeland eventually won in a penalty shootout to advance to face the winner of Austin LASA and San Antonio Pieper at 6:30 p. m.

next Friday, April 10 in Georgetown Prosper Walnut Grove 1, El Paso Americas 0: Another gritty match for Walnut Grove saw the reigning 5A Division I champions pull out a winner with just six minutes remaining in the match. Walnut Grove will face College Station in the championship next week on Friday, April 10 at 1:30 p. m.
