For the fourth time since a disappointing 19-13 season ended last month, the Virginia Tech Hokies saw a fourth player reveal his intention to enter the portal.
On Friday, junior guard Jaden Schutt became the latest Hokie expected to depart. The 6-foot-5, 200-pound guard is a native of Yorkville, Illinois, and began his college career at Duke. A four-star prospect, Schutt appeared in 14 games as a freshman for the Blue Devils, averaging seven minutes and two points per game.
In his first season for the Hokies in 2024-25, Schutt appeared in 32 games, making 26 starts. He played 26 minutes per game and averaged 7. 7 points.
Last season, Schutt served as Virginia Tech’s sixth man, playing 24 minutes per contest and averaging 7. 7 points. NEW: Virginia Tech guard Jaden Schutt plans to enter the NCAA transfer portal, @JoeTipton reports.
