UCLA's Lauren Betts takes scary fall, hits head on floor vs. Texas
PHOENIX โ UCLA center Lauren Betts was shaken up after a scary fall in the Bruins' Final Four matchup against the Texas Longhorns on Friday at the Mortgage Matchup Center in Phoenix. With the Bruins leading 22-19 in the third quarter, Madison Booker and Betts collided on a rebound attempt with 7:19 remaining. Betts hit her head on the court when she fell, while Booker clutched her left knee.
Betts remaining down on the ground for several minutes while clutching the back of her head, before raising to her knees and standing under her own power. Betts told her teammates "I'm OK" as she made her way to the Bruins' bench as the play was reviewed for a possible flagrant. The foul was not upgraded following a lengthy review Betts remained in the game and has a game-high 10 points, nine rebounds and two blocks.
