Here's what we saw in Phoenix as South Carolina pulled off an unlikely upset over UConn women's basketball

The Huskies own a 36-point average margin of victory and were tied for the fourth-longest win streak (54 games) in Division I history. But that streak is over and it’s not going to be UConn in the national championship. Here is what happened in the last three minutes: UConn vs South Carolina: How Gamecocks pulled an upset With three minutes left, South Carolina's guard Tania Latson dishes a quick give-and-go pass and drives for the layup but its blocked. However, forward Madina Okot gets the putback bucket to finish. UConn's Azzi Fudd can’t finsih the drive and gives South Carolina the rebound, but the ball goes out of bounds.

South Carolina calls a timeout with 2 minutes, 11 seconds left and a 55-47 lead. Husky Blanca Quiñonez is not on the court because of foul trouble but UConn resorts to a quick, defensive lineup that almost force a turnover with a corner trap — but South Carolina keeps the possession alive and extends the lead at the free throw line to 10. Fudd fouls Joyce Edwards to get the free throw line at 1:21 to hopefully get the ball back, but Edwards went 1-on-1.
