Riley Rowell drove in Gavin Kennedy with a single, and Sebastian Rhodes later reached on an error that allowed Frank Randol to score, giving the Dolphins a 2–0 lead after one inning. LSU Eunice answered with a two-run single from Tyler Mitchell to tie the game. The Bengals broke things open late, taking the lead in the seventh on a two-run double by Jake Smith.
They added another run on a single from Milan Obradovich to secure a 6–2 victory and even the series. Aidan Grab took the loss for Delgado, pitching into the sixth inning while recording seven strikeouts. In the second game, LSU Eunice got on the board first, capitalizing on a Delgado error in the opening inning.
