LSU baseball wins series opener at Tennessee
LSU wins Game 1 at Tennessee to open SEC baseball series.
Tennessee (19-11, 3-7 SEC) opened a three-game series versus LSU (21-10, 5-5 SEC) on Friday at Lindsey Nelson Stadium. LSU won Game 1, 7-5. 7,195 were in attendance, setting a Lindsey Nelson Stadium attendance record.
Landon Mack started for Tennessee and pitched seven innings and recorded 10 strikeouts and 94 pitches, including 62 strikes, against 25 batters. He allowed three hits (one home run), one run (one earned) and one walk. Brandon Arvidson and Bo Rhudy combined to pitch 0.
