The No. 8 Florida State Seminoles softball team beat the Notre Dame Fighting Irish 10-0 on Friday at JoAnne Graf Field in Tallahassee, Florida. They clinched the series with the win, their 23rd in a row.

They are now 34-4 overall and 11-0 in ACC play. FSU opened the scoring in the second inning when Hayley Griggs tripled home Ashtyn Danley. Makenna Sturgis drove her in with a groundout before Isa Torres homered to right, making it a 3-0 game.

They blew the game open in the next inning, scoring five runs. Shelby McKenzie led the inning off with a walk before Kennedy Harp homered. A single, hit by pitch, and an intentional walk of Torres loaded the bases with one out for Jaysoni Beachum.

She drove in one run with a sacrifice fly before a wild pitch let another run score, and Marin Heller cleared the bases with a double, putting FSU up 8-0. Four straight singles to start the fourth inning made it a 10-0 game. Florida State finished with 12 hits, as eight different players had one or more.
