Purdue Readers React Survey Results – Was the 2025-2026 Purdue Men’s Basketball Season a Success?
Plus, Big Ten pride this weekend?
SAN JOSE, CALIFORNIA - MARCH 28: Oscar Cluff #45 of the Purdue Boilermakers drives around Koa Peat #10 of the Arizona Wildcats during the first half of a game in the Elite Eight of the 2026 NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament at SAP Center on March 28, 2026 in San Jose, California. The Final Four is right around the corner, or so I’ve heard, despite my hope that they would cancel the rest of the tournament after last weekend.
Fletcher Loyer is preparing to compete in the Final Four Three Point shootout as I type this. And I hope you’ve got two days off from work where you can try to get outside and enjoy life with those you love. But, the end of the week also means that we are ready to share results from this week’s survey questions.
The first question was, to me, the big one. How do you gauge this men’s basketball season? Was it a success because they made it to the Elite Eight and won the Big Ten Tournament Championship?
Lofty expectations coming into the season so let’s see. I think it’s remarkable that 80% considered this season a success. To be clear I count myself among that 80% but the internet can often highlight the angriest voices and so I think my perspective on what the fanbase thought was a bit twisted.
