Wisconsin will face Auburn in Nashville as part of the Badgers' 2026-27 nonconference schedule, a team source confirmed to the Journal Sentinel.
Wisconsin men’s basketball’s 2026-27 nonconference schedule will include at least one marquee SEC opponent. The Badgers will play Auburn on Dec. 19 in Nashville, a team source confirmed to the Journal Sentinel.
It will be at Bridgestone Arena, where the NHL’s Nashville Predators play their home games. Auburn has gone 21-16 so far this season. The Steven Pearl-coached Tigers missed the NCAA Tournament, but they advanced to the upcoming NIT championship game on April 5.
The Tigers appeared in the NCAA Tournament in each of the previous four seasons under Bruce Pearl’s leadership. The Wisconsin-Auburn matchup is a continuation of the Badgers scheduling neutral-site games against other high-major teams. UW played BYU in Salt Lake City and Villanova in Milwaukee in 2025-26.
It will be the Badgers’ second all-time meeting against Auburn. UW won the first game, 78-54, in a neutral-site tournament in 2006 in South Padre Island, Texas. This article originally appeared on Milwaukee Journal Sentinel: Wisconsin basketball to play Auburn Tigers in Nashville in 2026-27
