The Green Bay Packers have a gaping hole on defense, and luckily for them, there seems to be a perfect option available.

The team has a solid roster and should be among the contenders in the NFC once again. However, the team doesn't have a first-round pick in the 2026 draft and is coming off of two-straight first-round playoff exits. Looking around the roster, there's not a ton of holes.

The biggest one is clearly on the edge after the team traded away Rashan Gary and lost Kingsley Enagbare in free agency. Additionally, star pass-rusher Micah Parsons is coming off a serious injury and probably will not be ready for Week 1. Unless the team wants to go into Week 1 with Lukas Van Ness and Barryn Sorrell as the starters on the edge, they need to make a move.

Luckily, there are still some solid options on the free agent market, but one is more intriguing than the rest. Garrett Podell of CBS Sports recently identified the best landing spots for each of the top remaining free agents. For future Hall of Famer Von Miller, Podell identified the Packers as a legit option.
