In a vote that ended April 3, Cincinnati. com readers selected the 2025-2026 Cincinnati Enquirer/Beacon Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine Athletes of the Week from high school sports action through March 29. Winners can print their certificates from this week starting Monday and other weeks now using this Drop Box link .

Ohio small-school baseball team: Blanchester – Blanchester raced past Reading for a season-opening 12-1 win. Northern Kentucky/Indiana baseball team: Simon Kenton – The Pioneers secured four wins, beating Holy Cross, Bracken County, Cooper, and Harrison. Ohio big-school softball team: West Clermont – The Wolves picked up two wins last week, beating New Richmond 4-2 and taking down Sycamore 9-3.
Ohio small-school softball team: Badin – The Rams are 5-0 on the year following a four-win week against Middletown, Monroe, Harrison, and Seton. Northern Kentucky/Indiana softball team: Campbell County – The Camels outpaced Pendleton County, 12-7, then cruised past Madeira, 18-0. Boys spring team: Moeller volleyball – The Crusaders sit atop the GCL-South after beating La Salle on March 26 before topping Lakota East and Mount Vernon two days later.
