They've struggled to find a long-term head coach, quarterback, and core of the franchise for a long time now. After years and years of struggles, they've fallen into a cycle that's decimated their rosters over the years. And this issue is something one NFL executive warned the Jets about continuing to repeat.

Mike Sando of The Athletic shared that one NFL executive warned the Jets about continuing to repeat the same mistakes over and over again when it comes to roster building. "They trade good players off their team, they get draft picks, nobody wants to play there, they are a young team, they have to find a journeyman quarterback. Then they bring in all these picks, they can't find a quarterback still, and then they trade all those players for more picks and still can't find a quarterback. " This seemingly endless downward spiral is something the Jets have been trapped in for a while now, and most recently can be seen by the roster moves from Aaron Glenn and Darren Mougey in the past year.
