Arkansas sophomore forward Karter Knox plans to enter NCAA Transfer Portal
One of Arkansas’ top signees from the 2024 class is moving on, as Razorbacks sophomore guard Karter Knox plans to enter the NCAA Transfer Portal. The 6-foot-6 wing is coming off a productive second season in Fayetteville, where he averaged 8. 1 points, 4.
5 rebounds and 1. 2 assists in 22 games before an injury derailed him in February. Knox shot 46% from the field and 38% from behind the arc while starting 18 games for John Calipari and Co.
But with the emergence of fellow sophomore wing Billy Richmond and the Hogs bringing in top-20 overall recruit JJ Andrews at the same position, Knox is looking for a new home. He chose Arkansas after originally committing to Kentucky prior to Calipari’s decision to leave.
Knox quickly decommitted and two weeks later took an official visit to Arkansas before signing with the Razorbacks a few days later. Knox averaged 8. 3 points (46.
2% FG, 35% 3PT), 3. 3 rebounds, and 1. 0 assists per game as a freshman and tested the NBA Draft waters.
