NFC exec has a theory as to why the 49ers are always injured
One executive doesn't blame the electrical substation for the 49ers' litany of injuries recently.

3 in total points lost in 2024 and 2025 , respectively, by Sports Info Solutions, and head into the 2026 season with some of their biggest players nursing serious injuries: George Kittle, Nick Bosa and Mykell Williams. Injuries are a part of football, and there's never a clear reason why one team suffers more than another. One NFC front office executive has a different idea as to why the 49ers are always injured, though. In an anonymous conversation with The Athletic's Mike Sando , one executive said the 49ers simply always add injury-prone players who then get hurt. โEveryone starts talking about the substation and, โWhy are we always hurt?
โโ An exec said. โItโs because you sign hurt players. Mike Evans is going to miss 4-6 games this year, Dre Greenlaw is going to miss eight and you are going to wonder why your players are always hurt.
