Arman Tsarukyan is more popular as a UFC pariah than he is as a UFC fighter

Somehow, in his exile, Arman Tsarukyan has become the Ferris Bueller of the UFC.

You know who’s getting talked about a great deal more than the fighter who’ll headline the UFC’s White House card in June , Justin Gaethje? Arman Tsarukyan. He’s been having a day since getting passed over to fight for the lightweight title.

He’s like the Ferris Bueller of the UFC right now, jetting around the country, eating burgers on the hoods of Rolls Royces, wrestling anybody who wants to get some in RAF, riding alligators, batting perhaps not-altogether-platonic eyes at Nina Drama, the whole bit! Oh, he still has the occasional tantrum, as Georgio Poulles found out at RAF06 , but that little incident went especially viral. A punch before parting ways is Arman’s version of an affectionate peck on the cheek.

By the time they ran it back at RAF07, Tsarukyan had emerged as the star of his own reality show , pulling crazy numbers. Far more than Renato Moicano will draw for this weekend’s UFC warehouse rumble with Chris Duncan, for instance. Tsarukyan is one of those first-class passengers who watches such fighters walk by to find their seats in coach.

He's proven himself to be excellent at rubbing people’s noses in it, is what I’m saying. He’s doing that to the UFC right now, too. And in the end, maybe it was for the best that the UFC forced Arman to play some hooky.
