Adam Schefter defended Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts after a hit piece featuring anonymous sources questioning his character.

The NFL world is still buzzing about the article about Jalen Hurts that called him โ€œuncoachableโ€ ย  and basically placed the blame on the Philadelphia Eagles ' offensive failures on him. What made the situation worse is all of this was from an anonymous source. The comments about Hurts made by this source not only angered fans of Hurts but also NFL commentators and insiders who came to Hurts' defense, including ESPN NFL insider Adam Schefter.

He didnโ€™t like what was being said about Hurts, especially from an anonymous source. "I don't love anonymous sources and don't think it's really fair to have an anonymous source questioning somebody's character. We're taking apart a guy that's had a lot of success in this league...

I don't quite get it,โ€ Schefter said on โ€œ The Pat McAfee Show . โ€ Many people are questioning who the source is within the organization who leaked this information, and why they would come for Hurts. True, the Eagles' offense struggled at times; however, several factors were involved.

First of all, the offensive line struggled mightily with injuries throughout the season. Another huge factor is the drop-off of running back Saquon Barkley, who only rushed for 1,140, which was a major drop-off from his 2024 Super Bowl season when he rushed for over 2,000 yards. Despite what was said by this source, Eagles management is still on Hurts side and thatโ€™s the important thing to note.
