No Big 12 team has won more games than TCU since Dykes was hired in 2022

Sonny Dykes has a new deal to remain as TCU head football coach, according to ESPNโ€™s Pete Thamel . TCU athletic director Mike Buddie said in February that an extension was being worked on and that a deal was close. Dykes' contract was to expire following the 2028 season.

He earned a little over $7 million in salary this past season. Details about Dykesโ€™ extension have yet to be officially announced. Dykes was hired by TCU in 2022 after five seasons at SMU.

He led the Horned Frogs to a 13-2 record and a national title game appearance in his first season. TCU has finished with 9-4 in each of the past two seasons and picked up wins in the New Mexico Bowl and Alamo Bowl. TCUโ€™s 36 wins since 2022 is most among any Big 12 program since Dykes was hired.
