But, even with a better room, adding a WR in the 2026 NFL Draft in Round 1 isn't out of the question. With such a need still on the table, ESPN's Matt Miller predicted that the 49ers would be competing with the Buffalo Bills , Kansas City Chiefs , and Miami Dolphins for 919-yard Texas A&M WR KC Concepcion.

49ers predicted to compete with Bills, Chiefs, Dolphins over Concepcion "Texas A&M's KC Concepcion is the best candidate for that, thanks to his run-after-catch ability and pure speed," Miller writes. "Teams like Buffalo, San Francisco, Kansas City, or Miami could all be potential landing spots. " The 49ers fighting for Concepcion would be an interesting situation to monitor with those other teams picking in the back half of the first round.

Concepcion had 919 receiving yards on 61 receptions last year to go with nine touchdowns. He's likely to be the fifth wide receiver off the board, and could be a late-first rounder. Carnell Tate, Makai Lemon, Jordyn Tyson, and Omar Cooper Jr.
