49ers focus on almost every offensive position in 7-round mock draft
The 49ers could be looking to add some offensive firepower throughout the 2026 NFL draft.
The San Francisco 49ers were one game away from winning the NFC West in 2025, but their offense fell flat against the vaunted Seattle Seahawks defense in Week 18 before they lost again in the NFC Divisional Round. While general manager John Lynch and head coach Kyle Shanahan made some big changes to the offense during the 2026 offseason, there is still some work to be done in the draft. Mike Evans and Christian Kirk are nice additions, but the team lost two other key receivers in Kendrick Bourne and Jauan Jennings and likely won't have tight end George Kittle for a portion of the year after he suffered an Achilles injury in the playoffs.
Therefore, CBS Sports' Josh Edwards went with a very offensive-heavy approach in his new seven-round mock draft for the 49ers. Five of the 49ers' six draft picks were on the offensive side of the ball across five different positions, too. The only defensive player selected was an edge rusher, which is also a need for the 49ers Here is the breakdown of picks from CBS Sports' newest seven-round mock draft: Round 1, pick 27: KC Concepcion, WR, Texas A&M 6-foot | 196 lbs | Career stats: 185 receptions, 2,218 yards, 25 TDs, 70 rushes, 431 yards, 3 TDs Round 2, pick 58: Malachi Lawrence, EDGE, UCF 6-foot-4 | 253 lbs | Career stats: 20 sacks, 72 tackles, 28 TFLs, 3 forced fumbles Round 4, pick 127: Matt Gulbin, IOL, Michigan State 6-foot-4 | 305 lbs | Career starts: 52 games over 5 seasons Round 4, pick 133: Seth McGowan, RB, Kentucky 6-foot | 223 lbs | Career stats: 375 rushes, 1,918 yards, 18 TDs, 55 receptions, 604 yards, 4 TDs Round 4, pick 138: Travis Burke, OT, Memphis 6-foot-9 | 325 lbs | Career starts: 33 starts over two seasons Round 4, pick 139: Michael Trigg, TE, Baylor 6-foot-4 | 240 lbs | Career stats: 108 receptions, 1,419 yards, 14 TDs This article originally appeared on Niners Wire: NFL draft: 49ers focus on offense in 7-round mock
